We’re excited to share that Isaac Harrison has joined The Fair Co. as our new First Nations Adviser. From our very first conversations with him, it was clear that Isaac brings something pretty special – a mix of hands‑on technical experience, Indigenous business leadership, creative thinking and a real commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
In this role, Isaac will be working closely with our team across the Renewable and infrastructure projects we’re involved in. His focus will be helping us open more doors for Indigenous businesses, strengthen employment pathways, and ensure the work we do continues to deliver practical, community‑centred outcomes. It’s work that really matters to us and we’re thrilled to have someone with Isaac’s passion and perspective leading it.
Isaac’s journey in the renewable energy space started early, when he jumped into an off‑grid energy startup and got hands‑on with one of Australia’s leading offgrid energy businesses. That experience gave him a deep technical understanding that still shapes how he approaches community and project work today.
Driven by a belief that clean energy should be accessible and community‑led, Isaac went on to co‑found Bunjil Energy, an Indigenous‑majority renewable energy business based in Melbourne. Under his leadership, Bunjil Energy explored a range of innovative ideas – including a proposed 4 MW eco‑solar farm in Dromana that blended renewable energy with regenerative agriculture and broader community impact.
Isaac’s experience also stretches well beyond the energy sector. He’s a Director at Towcha, an Indigenous‑owned national IT services business, and a co‑owner of Jarrah Boy, a native‑inspired alcoholic beer brand. He’s heavily involved in the growing Indigenous SME sector, supporting businesses to scale and helping corporates improve the way they approach Indigenous procurement and partnership building.
And, like many people who care deeply about culture, Isaac brings creativity too. He’s a talented didgeridoo (yidaki) player, performing with Rivertribe and cultural ceremonies. He’s also an Everton FC supporter, which officially increases The Fair Co.’s fan base to two.
